My name is Matthan Evans. I have always enjoyed art, but I began my endeavors into the world of graphic design about three years ago. Since then, I have made posters, logos, and other works. I specialize in typography and the manipulation of type. I believe it is entirely possible to amplify a message based on the placement of its words and letters. In combination with this idea, simplicity is something I strongly advocate. Many are afraid of white space, but I am not. Proper usage of white space allows the subject to breath and interact with the world around it-- it is no longer confined to the objects cluttered around it in the picture plane. This is my philosophy, and this is what I put into as many designs as possible.
I am currently majoring in visual communication at Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Illinois.
